This is our second trip to Emerald Coast Gites and like other reviewers it’s difficult to find any fault. The place has everything you need to have a brilliant family holiday and is 15/20 minutes away from great beaches, entertainment, restaurants and about 30 minutes from the pretty town of Dinan. This time we stayed in one of the three new lodges, not because we wanted to get back to nature, but more because of the availability, or lack of, in the other gites. Any concerns with the ‘glamping’ experience were soon wiped away as we were presented with a 2 bedroomed lounge area lodge, fully equipped with most mod cons (fridge, freezer, gas hob, heating, power shower, Gas BBQ, microwave) The only things ‘missing’ from the gite experience were a TV and an oven which didn’t impact us at all. Everything we liked on our previous visit two years ago, such as the soft play area, toys and bar were still in good condition. The major change to the complex is the addition of the covering for the pool, making the pool either a truly indoor or outdoor pool.  It goes without saying that Simon and Lesley are expert hosts, enabling kids who have never met before to play togther whilst their parents can relax in the bar over the very reasonably priced wines, spirits and beers. With their kids growing up then the activities and focus in the peak summer weeks is starting to increase in age with kids being offered the chance to learn to surf and kids / parents football / rounders matches. Cheese and Wine night remains a favourite! We had a brilliant holiday and have got on the bus in terms of booking our summer holiday a year in advance.
